Tuesday 06th May 2025

Most of you will have met the new FFHQ coach Jordan by now, either in the classes or coaching a Sunday. Jordan’s brand new male specific small group begins on Tuesday 06th May at 6:30pm. 

The group will be nice and small, capped at 4 men, and would be great for anyone who is wanting to make a start at the gym, build some strength & have some fun. During the 6 week block, you will be working through various key strength elements like deadlift, bench press, back squat etc & finishing with a conditioning piece each week, designed to work up a sweat.

Sunday 25th May 2025

As most of you know by now, we are hosting the Mayhem Mixer at the end of May. This is the chance for you and a partner to race through 6 stations for the chance to win some epic prizes from Velites & WOD Powders (more info on prizes coming soon- keep your eyes peeled). 

For those of you who don’t know what the race format is, the stations are as follows:

5 MIN ON//2 MIN OFF

  1. Ski erg calories- both partners working together

  2. Shuttle run lengths- split

  3. C2 bike calories- both partners working together

  4. Sled push (female: 100kg, mixed/male: 120kg)- split

  5. Burpees over line- split

  6. Echo bike calories- both partners working together

Categories:

You will be allocated a start time within the heat times below- start times will be released on the Friday before the competition. We are unable to change your time after it has been allocated. 

Male pairs: 8:30am-9:40am

Mixed pairs: 9:45am-10:50am

Female pairs: 10:55am-12:00pm

Tickets are now live via GoTeamUp and are selling out fast with the mixed category now full. There is still a couple spots left in both the female category and the male, but get in soon so you don’t miss out!

It’s Murph day! 

Join us at HQ for our annual murph. For those who have never done murph before it consists of:

1 mile run

100 pull ups

200 push ups

300 air squats

1 mile run

Please don’t think you cannot do it if you can’t do any of the movements, as always we will have as many scaling options for you as possible e.g. individual, partner, team!

Saturday 12th July

It’s our birthday! Join us for our second birthday & one year anniversary for the new gym! It’s been a whirlwind the last couple of years and we’re so grateful for each and every one of you we see day in and day out. 

In honour of our birthday we will be hosting our yearly in-house competition, but don’t worry, there’s no fancy dress this time (unless you want to). We’ll have loads more details about everything very soon…

As always, there will be a social afterwards so keep your eyes peeled!

Finally, the temperature is starting to creep up and this week especially, it’s been pretty hot. Please make sure you are bring plenty of water to your session to stay hydrated during and after. You are more than welcome to refill your bottle as much as you need whilst you’re here and if you haven’t seen your bottle in a while…it might be in our lost property. Let one of us know what it looks like and we will have a look to see if it’s in HQ.
